Students will work on research projects like: Multiscale simulations of mechanical behavior of materials; Modeling and characterization of Scale effects; Plastic Deformation of Aluminum - Experiments and Characterization; Developing multi-scale modeling techniques for nano mechanics and materials; Flow, Mixing and Separation in Multiscale Fluidic Devices; Fabrication and characterization of a Thermal Switch; Surface Preparation Effects of Composite Adhesive Joints. Most students will work in collaborative teams to augment each other's skill in multiscale engineering.
In addition you will:- Participate in ongoing research projects
- Gain valuable laboratory experience in cutting edge techniques and working in a team environment with 10 other students
- Have fun, make new friends, see the Palouse
